Description Desert Springs is dedicated to providing the most professional psychiatric and chemical dependency services possible through a comprehensive continuum of care. Our delivery of quality healthcare includes providing individuals with the skills, knowledge and motivation needed to attain positive outcomes. Effective community education and compassion for the individual make Desert Springs the caring source for the community. 36-bed Residential Treatment Center for boys and girls ages 5-17. There are three separate tracks in this program, including a boys unit, a girls unit, and a behaviorally intensive unit for those children whose needs require a more structured program at a lower functioning level. 12-bed Adolescent Acute Services unit. This unit is for children and adolescents aged 10-17, with a focus on diagnosis and medication education, and increasing coping skills. Length of stay is relatively short, and continuity of care in the community after stabilization is a major goal of hospitalization.
